{"id":158,"date":"2023-02-03T10:44:14","date_gmt":"2023-02-03T02:44:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/enfoid.io\/doc\/?p=158"},"modified":"2024-07-17T10:45:25","modified_gmt":"2024-07-17T02:45:25","slug":"system-changes-and-upgrades","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.enfoid.io\/doc\/company\/2023\/02\/system-changes-and-upgrades\/","title":{"rendered":"System Changes and Upgrades"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif;\">After weeks of testing and temporarily disabling certain systems, we are pleased to announce that we have successfully moved the services to other servers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif;\">Ensured that the transition was seamless and did not result in any disruption to other systems or services.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Please be informed that the following systems have been permanently disabled:<!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All <strong>LCARS<\/strong> Servers\/Services.<\/li>\n<li><strong>LAMP44<\/strong> &#8211; (Replaced by LAMP149 and SG1)<\/li>\n<li><strong>FC Annc<\/strong> &#8211; (Replaced with list service on <a href=\"https:\/\/enfoid.io\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EnFoid.io<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li><strong>CZ<\/strong> and <strong>LD Proprietary Tracking<\/strong> &#8211; (covered by AU3)<\/li>\n<li><strong>4 Database<\/strong> cluster instances<\/li>\n<li><strong>16 Currencies<\/strong> removed from Forex pricing API &#8211; (free version only)<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;casual trader&#8221;<\/strong> webhosts (redirects permanently to swingfish.trade)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This decision was made mainly for financial reasons as these systems were found to be redundant and their maintenance cost outweighed the benefits they provided.<\/p>\n<p>In line with this change, the <a href=\"https:\/\/stats.uptimerobot.com\/D0LKrsBZQ8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">uptimerobot report page<\/a> have been updated and now show &#8220;<em>N\/A<\/em>&#8221; instead of &#8220;<em>Down<\/em>&#8221; for the permanently disabled systems, as they are no longer in production, and will be removed over time.<\/p>\n<p>However, please note that applications that use static IP addresses may experience some issues.<br \/>\n<strong>IP Forwarding will be terminated in March 2023,<br \/>\nIf you encounter any issues, please reach out for updated hostnames and IP addresses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>In the future, we will be disabling or alter the following services as part of our ongoing efforts to improve and streamline our systems while reducing costs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Forex pricing API<\/strong> (free version only) will be <strong>limited to 5 Minute updates<\/strong> on average and 10 Minute updates as standard.<br \/>\ncommercial API access still maintains the 12sec. average and contributes to faster free version updates.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Analytics for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bitco.one\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BitCo.one<\/a> features.<br \/>\n<\/strong>forwarding will of course still work till 2025 as promised.<\/li>\n<li><strong>LC File Services<\/strong><br \/>\n(Disabled on February 9, 2023, seamlessly replaced with <a href=\"https:\/\/enfoid.io\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EnFoid.io<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li><strong>SwingFish Discord Nitro features<\/strong> &#8211; (March, 2023)<br \/>\nthis will result in lower quality Voice &amp; Video chats and the loss of some branding and discovery features,<br \/>\n<em>community members and individuals can prevent this by making sure there are &#8220;at least 30 Boosts&#8221; present.<\/em><br \/>\n21 of those boosts are paid by EnFoid since 2019.<\/li>\n<li><strong>shutting down SwingFish Discord Bot<\/strong> Mee (Scruffy &amp; Meeseck17)<\/li>\n<li><strong>SwingFish News squawk Service<\/strong>.<br \/>\ncan be obtained at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livesquawk.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">livesquawk.com<\/a> directly at ease for a resonable price now.<\/li>\n<li>removal of EnFoid support Widgets from SwingFish Website.<\/li>\n<li>SwingFish file hosting moving to <a href=\"https:\/\/ko-fi.com\/swingfish\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ko-Fi<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>CasualTraders<\/strong> shut down.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Traders Cafe<\/strong> Project suspended.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>on March 1, 2023 we will in accordance to EnFoid privacy terms,<br \/>\nsecurely destroy all cloud based snapshoots of the disabled services hosted with third party providers &amp;
